The handbook doesn't give a lot of info just the following

If you find you’re getting into financial difficulties, you can get confidential financial advice and specialist support through our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP). You might also like to discuss things with your line manager.
We’d like to support you through any period of financial difficulty, but to do this, and to make sure we meet our regulatory requirements you’ll need to tell us of any change in your financial status. If you’re issued with a County Court and/or a High Court Judgement (CCJs/HCJs) or the next stage of court action such as an attachment of earnings, voluntary arrangement or bankruptcy, you should tell our HR Referencing team. They’ll raise this with the appropriate individuals within the company to assess the impact on your current role.
Most of the time, the outcome of civil proceedings wouldn’t affect your employment with us, but where there is a conflict with the work you do we may have to put in place checks or restrictions. In extreme circumstances (see Approved persons) we might even have to think about whether there’s another role you can do. However, if there isn’t one we may have no choice but to dismiss you.
You need to be aware that we do regular credit searches during your employment with us. We do this to make sure we’re compliant with legal and regulatory requirements and to protect the interests of our customers. We normally don’t tell you when we’re doing this, so it’s really important you tell us about any outcomes of civil proceedings straight away. If you don’t tell us and we later on find out, we’ll deal with this under our discipline procedure, which may include us dismissing you.

As I said I have no CCJ's or anything else so I think I'm going to be ok :o

The main issue is disclosure. If you tell them about problems they work with you to resolve the impact on the company.

Where they have big concerns is where you dont tell them and their random spot checks identify things.

I started working in FS a year after leaving uni and wasnt told by the agency about the requirements until after I already had a job offer. I know I bricked it until I received the unconditional offer because whilst never getting into serious financial difficulty certainly as a student I had had a few unauthorised overdrafts etc

Needless to say, 10 years later and still working in FS it all went ok :)
