work program adviser sent me for a job interview, for which i have no experience, when i arrived for interview and the interviewers read my cv,they looked at each other puzzled, and asked me if i had any experience
in the kind of work ,i said no,they said well that was a waste of time for both of us,and sent me on my way,why send me in the first place ?

Ask your WP advisor that question ?
Did you point out to your advisor re the no experience when your advisor gave you details about the job ?0 -
The company should bother having such recruiting staff, you don't have to!

Surely no one gets an interview without the employer reading the CV first?simson3325 wrote: »work program adviser sent me for a job interview, for which i have no experience, when i arrived for interview and the interviewers read my cv,they looked at each other puzzled, and asked me if i had any experience

I had an interview for a job the JCP made me apply for, I was amazed when they called me in for an interview. I timed it, and I was there for exactly 1.5 minutes. I did my 1 minute speech about myself, then they said "why are you here?" to which I replied "the JCP made me apply for the job and you asked me to interview" "but you're massively overqualified" "yes. Can I go now?" "yes please." Then I was completely unable to resist and pointed out there was a spelling mistake on their brand new banners they had just had printed to thank their sponsors "Lewis Vuitton".
I have no idea why they rang me up for an interview, I sent them off my usual CV and it was the kind of work I did 20 years ago.0
