Should mortgage show up on credit file?

Options
Should my mortgage show up on my credit file? I am looking to move home soon so thought I would check my credit file was all in order, everything was fine apart from my mortgage which isnt on there is this normal?

I have had the mortgage for over 6 years and made a fair few overpayments in that period I thought this would show up on there?

Thanks

Not necessarily. Some do, some don't.

Have you got a copy of your credit file from all three CRAs?

Might also be worth checking your address is correct, often flats, or house names can be in a slightly different format, when you search an address it wil only come back on the exact address you entered, so look out for spelling errors, or differring flat numbers.

Some lenders choose not to share the conduct of your mortgage account with any CRA unless your account is in arrears. Their choice, I'm afraid.
