blackhorse finance help....

took out car finance of £13000 1 year ago and unfortunately due to work cutting my hours and a total wipe out of overtime my finances have dropped severly.

i wrote to blackhorse in may, explaining the situation and requested that they come collect the car and i would pay any remaining moneys owed after the auction of the car.

they replied back to me saying i can take the car to the auction house myself, or send a cheque for £75 and they will collect.
if i want to do the latter i have to send the tax book to them along with cheque, and that it can take 14 days for car to be lifted. (which i done)

the remaining balance owed (found this strange as car has not been sold) was £4995. and i could ask for reduiced payments.

i filled the form in with a price of £100 per month, increasing through time if my finances increase again.

the cheque cleared in my bank at the beginning of june and i never heard a thing from blackhorse until this week.

it was a letter saying i was in £500 of arrears and if i dont bring the account upto date then they may reposess the car?????

where do i stand? as i currently have a car i no longer can afford, i have told blackhorse about this, i have paid the "lifting fee", i have offered an amount i can afford to repay what i owe, yet they say they will reposess???

help!

Why did you not chase them for an agreement to the "lifting" and reduced payments in writing?

it was all done via letter. i would refuse to talk to them on the phone, they could say 1 thing then deny it a week later.

i have a copy of their agreement to lifting the car for £75, and a copy of the letter they sent me asking what i could afford to pay the remainder off.

all your calling upto is chase the removal of the car...
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
