Employer not providing settlement figure
I took a loan out in 2010 through my employer, and now wish to settle it. I have emailed three times asking for a settlement figure, and while I have received an email stating my request has been received, three months later I have not got a settlement figure, despite two further emails chasing a figure. I have called but it always goes to this man's answerphone, and I have no idea which building he works in otherwise I'd go and find him to try to chase it down.
Is there anything I can do given it is through my employer not a commercial company to force them to give me a figure so that I can pay it off?

A loan from your employer isn't regulated, there is little practical you can do aside from keep pushing.
I would try writing and sending recorded delivery - stating that your previous emails have not got you anywhere.
Who is the person you are emailing? what position in the company? Can you not contact someone higher in the firm - a director or owner to complain about the situation.
Or are the loan repayments collected through payroll and appearing on your payslip? If so could you try emailing them to see how much is outstanding?A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
