Hello again :waves:
I know I know.. like a bus aren't I.
I have a dilemma. We've lived in our house for a year and 3-4 months and when we moved in our wiser wisdom bought a lovely cream carpet to go with our 'earthy' colour scheme. Who were we kidding? A year on and our carpet is a right state and no amount of cleaning or hoovering will sort it. Picture a dalmation and transfer that image onto cream carpet... niiiiiiiice....
Have tried the biological powder and hot water trick which although did make it look slightly better I nearly broke my knees doing it and it's still covered in stains.
Short of forking out a couple hundred quid for a new carpet  so early into our own-place-having-ness does anyone have any miracles that could shift my spotty dog of a carpet?
Thanks!

I too fell into the cream carpet trap. Except I carpeted not just my house with it but my hall!!!!!! What was I thinking? I have an excuse its my first home. I bought a VAX and it brings up the carpet and pulls out all the dirt. If you know anyone who has one maybe ask to borrow it for a weekend?CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J0

Trouble with our carpet is it hasn't got a pile... if you imagine velvet it's kind of like that but less posh! lol!
We were quite luckily that we went for vinyl in our hall!! Had a disaster trying to fit laminate flooring myself :rotfl: and ended up having vinyl.Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Hi imoral angel,
If you search on carpet there are loads of threads that should help...I've picked these two out that might be useful:
carpet cleaning
desperate for a carpet cleaner that actually works
