  • It's been a busy couple of weeks, firstly I've sold not only my car but hubbies to cost of ownership Vs cost of company car worked out cheaper than my car (plus obviously no shocking repair bills!) once we added up the service plan tax mot and insurance, not to mention the fuel costs (mine was an SUV so drank diesel for fun - swapped for a hybrid halved the fuel cost) it also worked out about the same cost for hubbies car as the old one he had, so for a little less per month we have 2 brand new cars winging their way to us! - All in the MFW spirit of course!

I've also had a nice payrise which will bring in fair bit extra money each month, all this money will go to the repayments as you don't miss what you never had! Infact hubby was laughing at how focused I am on this he didn't realise how much until I said we wouldn't see the cash as such!

Been surveying to my hearts content too which is bringing in an average of £3 per week. Oh and managed 10 NSDs so far for October
    go me!

Super shop in Mr Ts tonight then weekly top ups at a well known german store for bread milk and fresh fruit and veg, must try and keep mr Smee in check there though, he has a fondness for buying meat at the moment. Not sure why as he doesn't cook and my dad's a butcher, but each week comes back from the supermarket with more steak! Last time we were there mini_smee thwarted my no clothes spend challenge however, hes 18months and how could I resist when he brought over a tee in the correct size and said "for me?". Well it was only 2.50!
  • I've been very neglectful of this here I'm sorry dear diary!! We've had a few nice surprises, which have meant our total debt is about 22k. I've also started filling my 1st direct regular saver at 8% to build up the reserves.

Very nervous as start the new job with nice payrise soon. Might have to invest in some new office wear as don't really need to wear it in my role now. Hmm it's all about spending isn't it!

Christmas will soon be upon us (has it really been a year?) but it's all on the cheap (not that you will be able to tell!) with us, no presents to each other, and I'm doing christmas dinner for the family so they only want small presents in return. Thinking of investing in some crafting ideas and putting together some hampers I'm non to shabby in the Jam making department. At least I hope I am!
