Darn it, too late... just read the MSE email this morning and checked straight away... not luck :-(
Suggestion... when a deal like this comes along that is in short supply, perhaps send a one-off email? Pretty please?
I am a student, so always looking for a bargain ;-)
Thanks0 -
Congrats and best wishes indeed to those who have enjoyed the 6 for 1 deal, but I don't get the maths. Two offers combined - 2 for 1 AND 3 for 2 is 6 for 1, we are told. I just can't make that add up. 2 for 1 AND 3 for 1 I could understand, but this? You pick up 2, that's £6.99 cos they're BOGOF. Now you can pick up one more and still only pay £6.99 cos of 3 for 2. Or, you pick up 2 and that's £13.98 at £6.99 each, but they're both BOGOF, so you can pick up 2 more and still expect to pay £13.98, and then pick up 2 more because each pair is on 3 for 2, and still pay £13.98. Either way the combination is 3 for 1, not 6 or 1. Having said all that, I don't deny the reports of those who have said 6 for 1 has worked, and I'm sure it's a glitch. It's just not obvious that it arises from the combination of the two deals.
And incidentally, it's not the first time they've done it. Years ago I enjoyed a similar sun cream bargain in Boots, although the maths was comprehensible in my case. So even if this deal is pulled, it may only be a matter of time until the next one.0 -
I can't get it to work now... only seems to be BOGOF.0

You buy 6 bottles.
Buy 1 get 1 free - will give you 3 free bottles.
3 for 2 - will give you 2 bottles free.
Hence 5 free bottles.

Hey Rebecca, are you on facebook? because they did advertise it on there last week Thursday, its the way they now advertise mid-week finds x0 -
This is still working this morning.

This offer looks great, I shall have to try it today just incase it still works. Can anyone point me in the direction of the facebook group for MSE? I can only seem to find adverts for it as a website and no actual group where I would get messages on my timeline,

Shandygirl has already explained this really well above.
But just to demonstrate how it comes up on the till.....
Yesterday I bought 6 using the ss and watched the TOTAL as each one went through.
1 = 3.99
2 = 3.99 (bogof)
3 = 3.99 (3 for 2)
4 = 3.99 (bogof)
5 = 7.98 (I panicked thinking it was not going to work)
6 = 3.99 (bogof AND 3 for 2........ big smiley face !!)
Hope that helps.
I could have gone back and got some more, but I already have 18 bottles/tubes, so I think that will last me until the next glitch:D0 -

Hi,thanks a lot, better explanation than mine.Hope we get some nice weather to use up all our suncream!0 -
I just got this deal at avonmeads in Britol. I even asked the SA to put it through and let me know how much it would be as I wouldn't have wanted the items otherwise. He was happy to oblige and confirmed £6.99 for 6, bargain.0
