Loan of £10k over 12 years - are 0% Credit cards the way to go?

    Also consider if you do get a £10k limit on a 0% card, by the time the 0% runs out and you have e.g £8k remaining, you would be asking for £8k on an already £10k risk (the limit of the current card).
    The lender will see a potential £18k exposure as unsecured debt.

    This already means you would need to have a Salary of at least £36k with NO OTHER unsecured debt to be considered for a new headline deal.

    12 years blimey earliest debt free day for you would be 2024! thats another 3 Olympics after london, will you still be alive then?

    If you cant get money on your mortgage then use your £100 a month to gradually improve your home as and when funds allow
