Gifting money

Are there any implications for one individual gifting large sums of money to another individual ?

I understand that there would be IHT implications for the person gifting the money, but are there any legal / taxation issues which prevent unconnected individuals from transferring money to each other.

I'm talking about sums in the region of £100k

The transfer would potentially be for the transfer of an interest in a non profit organisation (by definition such an organisation cannot be sold) - which is why I am asking if a sum could be "gifted"

Please let me know if you require any clarification

Gifting cash does not have any immediate tax implications.

What you are talking about sounds like the gift of an asset which has capital gains tax implications for the donor.
if i had known then what i know now
