Credit File (2 months to cleanup)

Question for you helpful folks...

When should the accounts that I have on my credit file that are covered in my BR be marked as settled? Their are all currently listed as defaults with differing dates. When I am discharged will this change or will I have to chase most of them down to amend this. Also what happens to the loan I have which is included in my BR which is a joint loan? Which is still being paid by the other party, will this be settled too on my record? Starting to panic a bit because I went bankrupt due to this loan as I was ripped off by the person who took all the money.

It will require each and every creditor to amend the data to reflect them as settled, however as the BR will also take precedence on the file, I wouldn't really worry too much.

Can anyone answer my question about the joint loan I mention above? Upon cleanup time, will this become settled on my credit file, as the loan is still active and being paid by someone else.

Hi lala, It should show as settled/satsified on or before your BR date.

    Best wishes

I seem to recall something about joint loans being different. Some lenders will argue that as it is still live and being paid for that they can't mark it as settled.
