JSA CB am I entitled?

I was made redundant last october and claimed JSA CB for 6months befor I signed off as I wasn't entitled to any more benefits. I have re-signed on after a further 13 weeks hoping I will be entitled to claim JSA CB again due to it being a fresh claim.
I have worked for the past 22 years before this.
What are the chances that I will be entitled to JSA cb again as this hopefully will be classed in a different tax year?
Cheers

In a word. No, once you have used up your 6 months, its gone. The only way you can get it again is if you work for 2 qualifiying tax years or more before signing on. Obviously, you can apply for income based JSA, but if you have a partner or other income, you will not get this. It's a mad mad system.0

Not true it depends on personal circumstances.0 -
Found out today I am entitled to JSA cb for another 6 months.
Only problem is I wish to go on a part time course which will be funded as I can claim JSA now only to be told it's not possible to change my signing on day. Course is all day the day I sign on!0 -

Can you explain how you're entitled?
As Who? me? says, it's a one-off six month period, not renewable every year.0 -

I re-applied after 12weeks as I was told this is the length of time you need to wait before it is classed as a new claim. I assume it's because I have paid my NI for the previous 2 years as my claim know comes under a different tax year. This is what I was told just before I signed off in April.
Im not entitled to any IB JSA as my wifes wage is to high.0 -

It's possible that you haven't paid NI in the years that are counted towards contributions based benefits and that your OH is earning too much for you to claim means tested benefits.0
