Can anyone help with any hints and tips on selling Popcorn and Candy Floss at car boot sales ect. please

Make sure you have all your licenses and trading requirements/permissions in place. Make sure the business is registered with HMRC and that you keep all your receipts and takings so you can write up your books properly.

You will need a food hygiene certificate and permission from the council. You may find that if other food traders already sell at a particular car boot then the council won't allow another so it is best to have a list of those you wish to attend. It is likely you will need a van to serve from as you will need hand washing facilities where food is prepared, which the council will need to check for cleanliness etc so then you need things like business insurance for that along with public liability insurance, stock insurance and if you are making the products yourself, product liability in case you make anyone ill (not that I think you would of course). Unfortunately there is probably more red tape but that is the extent of my knowledge where food is concerned!
