Butti's Journey: A matter of loaf and death

That was one of the rubbish things about childhood. Nobody gave you vodka flavoured cough medicine!
Thanks NL, I was telling someone how good the driver awareness course was. They were telling me I'm not supposed to make a habit of going on it!Debt LBM (08/09) £11,641. DEBT FREE APRIL 2021.

So one of today's jobs done. Needed doing, the boss will ask about it tomorrow.
Have asked for quotes for shifting my stuff from the garage to storage near my current abode. 2 quotes and a friend's friend who will undercut both. Saving money and it's not even my money to save.
Also asking for two quotes for storage. How much do I need? How long is a piece of string. I've plumped for 100 sq. ft. which is enough for a '2 bed house' (so they tell me!) which as I'm getting rid of one bed and already have the stuff from the study in my relocated bedroom should do.
Things getting manic at work. Everyone is losing the plot a little. The targets I don't hit will roll forward to next year it seems. It better go well next year or I'll have a huge hill to climb in 2014/15.
Right time for tea. Risotto I think. Requires very little expenditure - one small bottle of wine. Which I will need some of when waxing my legs.
Need to check budget, DDs and make sure everything balances tomorrow in my account. Pay day on Friday but a nasty habit of First Utility tripping me up the day before. Halifax need a stern talking to aswell. Might do that tonight.
No sign yet of telephone call from Estate Agent yet...may need a delicate kick tomorrow. House has been available two weeks now. Cmmmmmmmmon
All very boring, mundane and necessary!Debt LBM (08/09) £11,641. DEBT FREE APRIL 2021.

Ahem ... I can recommend both the accident awareness and speed awareness courses... but the best one is the IAM course where someone deconstructs your driving and helps you be much more aware of other drivers and speedcams etc.0

Well just lost my post which doesn't half annoy me (someone did tell me how to do that or not do it (to be more precise).

I was wondering if maybe you had a husband tucked away that could take your points for you0

We'll see what the polis offer or whether they will just slap points on!
Well what I ssid last night and lost was basically a rant against HSBC and Halifax.
HSBC take out the credit card payment two days before pay day. So I asked tbem to move it.
They can't.
But its your credit card.
Have you thought about changing to a loan? they ask.
Yes I say but you don't like the way I am over my limit every month after you have taken the credit card payment out three days before pay day so I don't clear the credit check for a loan.
But they can't do anything because its not an HSBC card.
But it has HSBC on it with Morrisons and you are "the world's local bank".
She then seemed to understand the concept of a vicious circle and rang the relevent people.
Guess what.
It is changing in two months time and in the meantime if I get charges I need to go and see her and she will refund them.
That was Thursday.
Friday morning I rang the Halifax and explained to them how offensive their letter was accusing me of subletting.
Yes I would sign the paperwork for the landlords mortgage once I have a tenant lined up.
I can't do it before because tbe cost of that mortgage product is more and money is tighter tban tight...oh and you increasing the APR on my credit at a time when your borrowing costs are at a historic low doesn't help...and have you ever thought this approach might be really p*ssing me off and turning me off getting any financial product with the halifax. You are a big corporation with lots of arms, I am just a little person who thinks 'I don't like what you've done there' or 'you are trying to stitch me up' and the parts of my brain join up to tell me I want to disassociate myself from any of your products.
I then finished on a positive note saying 'Well I feel better after that little rant. Think I can enjoy my morning cuppa now'.
That made her laugh so hopefully I didn't personally ruin her day!
Anyway hair to dye now and Nessieland tomorrow!
