Ok, here's my dilemma.
I have been unemployed for a few years and have been accepted to do a college course that Im not remotely interested in, but i applied for anyway through pressure from the job centre.
I then applied for another course that i really am interested in and have been told there are no places left, but Im at the top of the waiting list.
So, do I go ahead and do the course i dont want? Or do i keep applying for jobs and put up with the work programme people for another year before I can follow my dream plan and hope that someone drops out of the course?
Im 48yrs and time is not on my side as far as college goes.
I feel that the course i really want though would give me more scope for being both employed and self-employed. Im trying to look at the long term. I cant do one course this year, then change to the one I really want next year, as I cant get a bursary two years running for two unrelated courses at two different colleges.
Im totally confused!
