Would require all parties to amend a contractual arrangement.

Is your ex responsible for 100% of the mortgage payment?

Does your ex still live in the property?
  • my ex still lives in the property, the agreement was that she would be responsible for 100% of payment. My share of the deposit was 10 times greater than hers though so a lot of my money is tied up

The issue will be why should she continue to increase your equity if you are not contributing.
  • she isn't, the house is worth less than when we bought it

OK, why should she reduce your negative equity?

I made a change to our mortgage the other day. Completely over the phone - no signatures required.
I was asked if I had authority to agree to this deal over the phone on behalf of my wife. I did, and I said so.

So my gut reaction would be that it could be done without your signature or your personal authority given, but may have needed your ex to agree that she had the authority to speak on your behalf.
