Can I freeze fresh leeks?

  • I've just had my delivery from Mr t. I've just unpacked eight huge leaks which I haven't ordered. Normally I would make soup but I have a freezer full of soup. Can I cut them up and freeze them?
    I'm trying so hard to be thrifty, but it doesn't come naturally. You lot are an inspiration!

    I do :) Never had a problem. I dont bother defrosting them, just cook them from frozen. :money:

    Might not be the right way though. You'll have to ask someone with more knowledge of the correct way of doing these things :o

    i would make leek and potato soup :) use thriftladys recipe few posts in :)
