Hi all! Hope you are well
I'm looking for a bit of advice. I have a 24Studio account and as soon as I get this account paid off (outstanding balance of £300) I'm closing it as I've had nothing but problems with orders and bad quality items.
I was reading up on enforceability of online catalogues (I opened my account in 2010 so I don't think this applies to me, I know it's pre-2007 accounts) and just out of curiosity asked them for a copy of my signed credit agreement. They sent me a copy with my details filled in but no signature on my part. They said that the OFT and Trading Standards say that is enough.
They said when I opened the account I would have signed two copies, kept one for myself and one sent back so I replied saying if that was the case they should have a signed copy they can present me with? Seeing as I paid their stupid £1 fee, but they came back with the same thing, that the copy the provided me with is acceptable.
I just wanted to get advice on whether or not that's true?
Sorry if this is posted in the wrong place!

I'd say it is, but don't forget they can still default you, even if they can't or don't take you to court... :-/0

Thanks assj, I'm up to date with my payments, I just wanted to see about the credit agreement. Pretty annoyed as they are saying I signed one, but won't let me see it, just a "reconstituted copy"!0 -
For agreements after April 2007 all they have to do is provide a 'reconstituted' copy - something they can make up and doesn't need your signature. This was because a lot of people were wriggling out of their obligations on a technicality. It sounds as if this is what they have done in your case.
(edit to say I'm not accusing you personally of trying to wrigglr out of anything!)I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0 -

Thanks for the reply, oh well it seems they are doing that! A word of warning to anyone reading this though, avoid 24Studio - overpriced, say they are in stock when they arent (and you have to wait months!) and just all round awful.
Thanks to everyone who read and replied
