Tuesday 24th July - What Small DFW Things Will You Do Today??!!
determined_new_ms
When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important! :money:
Morning  yay to another beautiful day :T and I booked the day off :j kinda for the weather but also because dd has a college interview at 1 and I said I would take her, its not a hardship that its in a town with a beach so we can go there this after noon
Things for the day
trying to convince oh to go away with me to Paris in Sept. Have found travel and accommodation for £100 :j what else can we sell????
renewed my tax disk - saved £16 by getting yearly disk and not using cc
Ok that's me! Hope you all have a lovely day and the sun is shining were you are x

Beautiful day here, shame I'm working. However, doing this from home so may have to sneak in the garden with my laptop this afternoon
List for today:
Couple of laods of washing - dry outside
Chase irritating woman down at work to try and find out why they stopped £60 out of my wages. Its been 3 days and 2 messages and she hasn't called me back  I hate incompetant people, really gets my back up. If I don't hear from her tomorrow, I'll try plan B
meals from stores - small shop at Mr T for fruit and veg only
Nap if I can - went to see Dark Knight last night as DBIL bought Dh tickets for his birthday. Great night out, however, was back really late as BIL was an 30 minutes late to babysit, meaning we missed early showing
Can't complain as it was a free night out, but, it will probably be our last for a very very long time as BIL moving away and we have no one else who can sit for us
We dpon't go out often, but I will miss our treat a couple of times a year.
Payment reminder to last 2 outstanding items on fleabay as I'd like to post them today
Check progress of Amazon Trade voucher

Sort fancy dress costumes today - thanks for ideas DNMS on weekend thread

Hellllllllooooo my lovelies!
What a gorgeous day it is today! 24 degrees here.
A very MSE day today. Went round my Mums to look after my young brother and sister. Mum put the paddling pool out so we did a big water fight with tonnes of water balloons and guns. That kept them happy most of the day! Free entertainment!
Today
Breakfast, lunch and DD's dinner at Mums
Free activity - water fight and playing in the paddling pool
Cups of tea and snacks at Mums
OH picked up potatoes to make his yummy cheesy leek bake for dinner - should be some left for lunch tomorrow
Tidied up the house
Checked banking
NSD
Surveys - bit quiet on these
Check job sites
Bit gutted as i got a call to say i didnt get the Pharmacy technician trainee job i went for. It is full-time however so the silver lining is i don't have to uproot the kids so much. I was 'runner up' and they said they would let me know if the offer was declined by the chosen candidate. They told me i interviewed well! So two jobs in second place now! Gives me confidence but makes it more gutting!
DNMS - i hope DD's college interview went well. Did you make it to the beach?
Stitchy - I hope you managed an NSD
