Clinique are at it again!

Discontinuing products I mean. I visited the counter in our Boots after work today as I quite fancied trying again the all over bloom colour which I used a few years ago and everyone said it looked nice on me. However, it was nowhere to be seen on the counter. When I asked the sales assistant about it she said its been discontinued because the powder was always breaking in the compact! In that case why don't they just make it more sturdier instead of discontinuing it.

They have already brassed me off by discontinuing two of their best foundations - Gentle Light and Almost Make Up. I still like some of their stuff, the new tinted moisturiser isn't bad though not the same as Almost Make Up. I love their quickliner and the long last lipstick in creamy nude and also their cream cleanser but will these be the next to go? Makes you wonder if its worth giving them custom.

Its so annoying when that happens!

I had a Clinique lipgloss which I loved, when I went to buy another one I was told it had been discontinued. The lady recommended me another which she said was similar, I ended up buying it but the colour didn't suit me that well and the consistency was all wrong!

Had the same problem as you with the almost make up foundation as well!

Yes it is so annoying when they do this, have you found a replacement for the Almost Make up? I am using the new tinted moisturiser (moisture surge), it is nice but I did prefer the Almost Make Up. I also use No7 foundations inbetween too.

I don't use Clinique foundation any more, couldn't find one I liked. I use a Boots Number 7 triple protect tinted moisturised now which I'm happy with, I apply the Loreal Nude Magique BB cream underneath and I get a nice finish. I don't want to use a Clinique product and really like it in case they discontinue it again!

I have the No7 triple protection tinted moisturiser too, I switch between that and the No7 liquid mineral foundation and the Clinique moisture surge. The Clinique one is nearly run out now and I don't know whether or not to replace it, like you I am wary of getting too used to Clinique products and them discontinuing it. I like both the No7 foundation and tinted moisturiser and sometimes find it hard to choose between the two but the tinted moisturiser seems easier to apply and you don't have to worry about the colour match as much, do you find this?

If you know what you like (and in what shade etc) it's often worth looking online through Google Shopping; if it's still available anywhere it will come up there.

eBay can be good too for buying discontined cosmetics. I managed to get 4 bottles of a fab Boots moisturiser on there; don't know what i'll do when it runs out, there is no more out there1
