It was booked back in for today, for which my wife has taken a day off work. I phoned them at 10:45 to see what time they would be here and they have now said they wont be here today and it MIGHT be Sunday. I wonder if they were going to let me know at all ?? Really peed off now.

I have asked this question before, perhaps you missed it:

How was the sofa purchased, was it at a distance. i.e. on-line, over the phone or by mail order?

the first post said he signed something, he also mentioned that he thinks they would have told him if it doesn't fit. Therefore I assume he has bought instore

I saw that, but I still thinks it warrants clarification. He could have meant an electronic "signature." Or he could have meant some pre-contract paperwork e-mailed to him.

Yes he could have done but i doubt he did. Besides who buys a sofa online? Its one of those things you really need to look at before you buy it.

Pre-contract paperwork e-mailed? Don't remember that on anything I've ever bought. What do you mean? Can you give us examples?

When we ordered a dishwasher from an electrical retailer, we were asked to sign the order from that was e-mailed to us and post it off. When buying cars off the internet was popular (it hardly happens nowadays), it was a common practice.

Things have gone from bad to worse.

They have a guy who doesn't work for them directly but who organises and re-delivers orders that didn't fit on first attempt. He removes doors, windows etc. and gets orders in that the delivery drivers struggle with. He is charging me £150-£200 regardless of whether he can get it in or not.

This is the 3rd time he has let me down on the day he said he was re-delivering, todays excuse is the van has broken down. He said he will now come tomorrow, which will be the 4th day I've had to take off work without pay due to waiting for this delivery.

As I said they have given me £79.00 compensation for the first day that failed, however they said they wont give me any more. Surely they are breaking their side of the contract by not re-delivering when they say they are going to ? They have told me to write a letter to head office. Am I entitled to anything ? What happens tomorrow if they have another excuse ? I can see this just rolling on indefinately.
