Poll: Should GM fed animals/poultry/products be labelled in shops ?

Farmers routinely feed animals and poultry destined for human consumption with genetically modified crops and feed made with genetically modified crops even though the EU currently bans the farming of these crops.
EU regulation 1829/2003 Food & Feed GMO means that since 2003 manufacturers, packagers and shops do NOT have to label meat, poultry, eggs, milk, cream, yoghurt etc from these animals as GM fed.
Studies are beginning to show that GM toxins are showing up in humans, even in the blood of unborn babies.
As consumers I feel that we should have the choice not to eat GM crops secondhand, in complete ignorance.
These crops being fed to animals and poultry have yet to be proven safe in the EU and weren't tested in the USA.
We should all remember the consequences of feeding ground up, scrapie-infected sheep to cows. The USA still bans Brits/people who lived here during peak BSE risk years, from giving blood.
GM ingredients themselves can be used in food unlabelled up to 0.9% of the total ingredients.
If you feel that GM fed animals/poultry and their products should be labelled please email your MP via https://www.writetothem.com and ask your MP to write to Jim Paice MP, Minister of State for Agriculture and Food at DEFRA asking why consumers are being prevented by an EU regulation (not a law) from knowing what they're really eating. If an MP writes to a Minister s/he has to reply back to the MP within 18 days.
