'A' price charged for 'D' band Ticket!

Options
Anyone else had this from the Online ticket site where you Click for a D ticket but get charged as an A ticket, when from the Ticket Seat Location there is no way it's an 'A' ticket?
(I know it's not an 'A' as I have ticket in similar position for another session and it's a 'D')

And Ticketmaster as usual are completely obstructive and useless when u finally manage get to speak to someone after 10 disconnected attempts

I have seen on the website that they change tickets from one category to a higher one once in your basket. I've not seen about the seat locations though, very interesting! Have you tried ringing London 2012 directly? I found them reasonably competent, but you'll struggle to prove that you clicked Cat D but didn't notice that the payment price was a lot higher.

I added £150 opening ceremony tickets and it changed them to £2012 tickets! Didn't purchase them though.

Having a bit of a paranoid moment now. I got some A class tickets to the athletics but I'm in block 217 row 46 which doesn't seem that amazing from looking at the stadium plan. Could someone please assure me that these tickets will be worth the money I paid as they were quite expensive.

    If that's an A then what's a D?!

Block 217 will be great seats, they are the upper level rather than trackside but the position is key. In fact, where you are there are no trackside seats below you anyway (well none that will be used for Olympic events) and that particular section comes out slightly. It is right next to where all the action is.
A picture paints a thousand words apparently so rather than me trying to explain, have a look at this panoramic picture from one of the test events: http://2012hourstogo.panoramic-imaging.com If you zoom in, you can see the block numbers and see where you will be sitting.

Yes, I too have had the situation where you put a £150 ticket in your basket and it then allocates a £2012 ticket. I was able to replicate it several times. If you weren't paying attention, you'd be in for a nasty shock when the credit card bill came. But that's the least of the scandalous things about the way Olympics ticketing has been operated.

Hopefully they'll be OK. What day is your event? Mine's not till the 11th otherwise I'd let you know what the seats were like.
