Monday 23rd July - What Small DFW Things Will You Do Today??!!
kjp
When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important! :money:
Morning all!
It's SUNNY. I can feel that I'm getting happier already! Hope you all had lovely weekends - will check in on the weekend's thread in a mo. I wasn't on here much but ended up with a mostly DFW weekend - trip to the theatre in cheap, 'restricted view' seats - were great seats for what we paid! - trip to the Indian and only ended up paying for my main, and yesterday we took the bikes out and did a 24 mile bike ride and my OH paid for lunch. Bargain! - even if my bum is a tad sore now!
Today I Will:
Check banks
Check CCs
Check TCB
Check Ebay
Check Paypal - think Ebay fees have gone?
Start catching up on OU
Submit travel claim at work
Car share to work
Food from stores
List something on Ebay
Quick tidy of bedroom
SB clicks
2lt water
Think that's my lot for the day, have a great one all!

Morning all, and thanks to kjp for starting us off today. I too had a great weekend. It was our 23rd wedding anniversary yesterday but very DFW. The trip to Ikea might not have been very DFW though
It was just the last few bits for the sewing room and no frivolous luxuries.....
My day so far:- breakfast from stores
- fed and watered the chickens
- made packed lunch for work
- checked banking
- checked for surveys
- emptied contents of purse into money pot
- get lift to and from work with a colleague in exchange for eggs
- drink free coffee/water at work
- keep an eye on surveys throughout the day
- look at budget as DH has only one more week at work (darned agency working!!)

- knit at lunchtime to avoid going out
- left-overs for dinner
- ask DH to stop off and buy salad stuff so he pays

- get customer corset to fitting stage tonight
- have an NSD
It's a lovely day here again and gives me the impetus to get out into the garden so I might even find half an hour to do some weeding in the garden whilst dinner is cooking.
Hope it's sunny and hot for you all....

Hello all KJP thanks for starting the thread and waves to all above and below who turn up. Weathers grey but OK here .........
Today not much to report
- friend brought lunch to work so a free lunch
Banks as expected, not great but not dreadful
CC's the same
Took a box of folders to work to recycle at the local college - more deculttering away from the house.
My to do list......
Check one poll and try and do a survey.
Collected eggs must get rid of some
Must skype the kids later
Dr in a bit but will do a couple other jobs at same time to maximise fuel
More decluttering to do and a bit of gardening - slow and steady winds the race
Box up another couple of boxes, probably start on the books.
Sofa bed to put on freecycle and a 'queen' size double to rehome
Two beds to collapse later tonight and one of the land lords to put back up.
Dinner from the freezer - that I think will be bolognese - and slow roast lamb to put in oven.
Sheets from old spare room bed to air dry.
Probably enough for the rest of today.
Have a good un!Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:

Little one is feeling really unwell today, think he's sickening for something - chickenpox has been sweeping through the school over the last few weeks, 57/60 in nursery had them, typical mine waits for the summer hols to be poorly. Hoping he'll feel much better tomorrow so we can go out for the day and celebrate my being yet another year older as well as my wedding anniversary - 20 years, where did they go?
Hope you have all had a great day, love you all :T
