We are looking for a remortgage as we are back on svr &.39% and no longer have a tie in. A&L our current mortgage lender have offered us 2.05% discount for 2 years off the standard variable rate of £7.39%. With an arrangement fee of £499. We want to borrow approx 80% of the total. Is is worth trying again with L&C brokers…

but they are currently with a&l and would have to pay the 295 to move mortgage? I am reading as though you are looking at the next time they remortgage.

I am sure that a nice letter to the a&l re deeds release fee amount will aid this being reduced however, I am still slightly confused by your calcs - that said it could be the late hours and my brain shutting down?
