I emailed Sainsbobs CS to ask about how many coupons I could use per shop if I purchased the products as I was refused last week on the beer . This is the reply
Thanks for your reply with the information my colleague requested.
I’ve called the store and spoken with the Deputy Manager for our store, about your experience with the coupons. He advised me that as long as the coupon corresponds to the item in question you should be able to use it in store. Coupons can only be redeemed against the particular item the coupon is for and can’t be used for other products. If you have multiple valid coupons for the same item, you can use one for one product and the second for a second product providing all other terms and conditions are met.
I have removed some names , but am thinking do I give it another go armed with this email.
Yes, definitely. The coupon is valid per product. The only t & c that could affect this is "bulk purchasing". Have been discussing this with S in general terms. On-line, bulk purchasing is defined as 12 items. In-store, I was advised that it is at the managers discretion and subject to availability (naturally). Clearly one or two is not bulk purchasing. S need to be careful on this as they are advertising a promotion and clear rules apply about misleading or misinforming in published adverts. There is no way S should be refusing these coupons for a purchase of at least 6 and I would argue it should be 12 per transaction (wish i could find that much beer in my store that it is an issue).
Personally, I would challenge a store manager's decision if they said only 1, but I know it isn't always that easy. Armed with that e-mail should make it easier. Good luck - hope you come home with lots and lots0 -
