mrs-moneypenny - so sorry to hear your news.ok, I have been debating for a while whether to ask this... but you're all so helpful I am praying that someone will have some fantastic suggestion....
Basically I volunteer for an animal rescue who rely on donations and fundraising. It's been going since 2003 and we've always done well.
However, recently donations have become less and less and things are now at a critical pointThe lady (now my friend) who owns the rescue has done all she can and I've done my best to support her with thinking of ways to raise money etc and sending her my tesco goodies
my friend always puts the animals first and often goes without so I send these things her way, and try and donate to the rescue when I can, but it's not enough anymore and things are very bad
So.... I was wondering, does anyone have any ideas on ways to raise some much needed cash? Or are there any secret millionaires out there that would care to sponsor us!? :rotfl:
Is there any way she could get a licence to open to the public - I am sure the local kids would love to come and see the animals, at least the ones that are fit to be handled!HappyChappy84 wrote: »I phoned Clarks, they said there is nothing they can do as they can't see the shoes. They said if I sent the shoes to them they would look in to it but I'd have to pay the postage costs to send them to them. I'm not taking the chance as if they say no too I'll have to cough up again to get my shoes back (theres still a bit of wear left in them yet).
No way should they be refusing you a refund - got Marks & Sparks to refund me a pair of kids shoes after a coupld of months because I considered they were "not suitable for purpose" and "not fit for sale" etc as others have said.
I would send a recorded delivery letter along with photos, and if you don't get anywhere the Daily Express has a section where they contact manufacturers/retailers to get satisfaction (product wise!!!!).queen_of_cheap wrote: »To me, earl grey smells like fly spray
Tastes like dust to me. My father did not believe I could tell the difference between teas - I knew he drank Earl Grey and I also knew he had other tea bags in. Asked him not to make me Earl Grey but he decided to prove a point. Problem was I was the one that proved a point - spat it out on his carpet (couldn't help it, makes me feel ill!!!). He believed me after that :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
