Im done in. Just come in from the garden. Oh is away in London so ive only gone and built a wall. Reclaimed bricks from my parnets! Mighty fine it looks to, he will be well impressed, ive saved a fortune. Bit of tidying up to do tomorrow but the badgers were getting too close for comfort! Ive also replaced some rotton window ledges and the skirt bits on the french doors, as well as sanding and re varnishing the stairs. All this with 5 kids in tow who are thoroughly knackered.

Never tell this girl she 'cant possibly build a wall' etc!!

Cereal then bed me thinks, even though i know i wont sleep properly on my own. Is it wrong to contemplate moving ds3 into my bed for a snuggle?!

Is there anything you can't do hun. :rotfl:

You are amazing, are you getting much produce from your garden after all your hard work earlier in the year. All our potatoes from the allotment have blight this year. :(

And all our onions have been eaten by slugs. :(:(

Im thinking the little bottles of wine may be the way to go on this deal as some of them are £2.49 each and 2 for £3.00 so get 6 and should be a good saving anyone thinkin the same.

    I think this is right

JP Chenet Merlot 18.75cl £2.54 each or 2 for £3

    £2.49 x 6 = £15.36

    minus 2 for £3 = £6.24
    minus 25% = £3.84

    Total to pay £5.28

Hey, my potatoes were fab. Dug them up saturday, the boys were estatic, everytime they saw one they shouted 'potato' in an irish accent - thats big brothers for you.

My runner beans are going mental and are way off the 10 ft canes, been reading in gardeners world that a lot of beans are knackered due to rain, but i planted mine too early which seems to have made them strong.

Peas are fab, they dont reach our plates as joel and theo eat tem from the pods on way down from field!

Corgettes and cucs coming on nicely, pumpkins are taking over. And of course, loads of tomatoes. Oh, broad beans a plenty.

Only thing i havent done this yr is sprouts, chose tats instead but dont think i will bother next time. Too much space needed.

Ive got what my mom refers to as mans hands. They aint pretty! You dont know what you can do until you try.

Im in love with my new toy too, a ryobi brush cutter. Love it love it love it. Only thing i avoid is the chain saw, got so much wood that need cutting and storing for winter but i know my lmits and i like my hands, albeit rough and calloused, stuck to the end of my arms:A:rotfl:

Oh, onoins arent doing too much, hoped the rain would help them swell but no such luck.

Hope everything is ok your end.
Please don't judge me. you couldn't handle half of what I've been through.

Our cucumbers are doing well at home, we always have late tomatoes as OH plants them out late but they usually go on for ages into the autumn. The allotment is a bit dire as OH grows organically so slugs have taken over and our whole crop of jerusalem artichokes have disappeared and we are usually over run with them and plant a few back each year but can't even do that this year.

We did have a good crop of strawberries and the raspberries are just starting, the currant bushes are overloaded and the gooseberries are sweet. But guess they are better looked after at home. I have not been to the allotment at all this year as mum has needed me more. Just been doing a bit of weeding at home on the very odd occasion.

Brand8 I did notice that one of the mini bottles of sparkling wines had a SEL for £1.49, the pinot noir, these are usually over £2 and not included in a multibuy so they might be a good bargain this time round. Great for making up xmas hampers. Sadly OOS in my store. HTHs

    Black tower rivaner 18.75cl T £1.49, A 4 for £5

    12 x £1.49 = £17.88

    minus 25% = £4.48

    total £13.40

    jtd £2.88

Morning all , can't sleep so caught up on here as internet crashed last night.

Just wanted to thank you all for your lists and calculations on the petrol promotion. (Though my sore confused head says otherwise :rotfl:) You lot truly are amazing. I did a jtd shop last night with 4 robinsons, 2 mayo and 2 ketchup and topped up wth some value stuff to make sure I had my 8 items, receipt in price checker and fingers crossed. Got my 3 petrol vouchers and another shop planned out for tomorrow to get 2 more. My little clapped out car isn't gonna know whats hit her when I fill up as it's normally running on fumes :rotfl:

Have a great day and for those of you with sunshine, could you send some across the Irish sea please, we had a not so scorching 19 degrees yesterday!! xx
:heart2:Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.:heart2:
