My £5 voucher came from Superdrug - now wondering what to get ...

Most of this week I've spent rearranging my toiletry stockpiles so I know I dont really need anything, not for a long while yet.

I keep popping in to every SD I pass to have a look at the reduced section. A while back I got some reduced hair colours for £1 - I got 3 in my colour and my OH puts it on for me in the week before I am due to go to the hairdressers, just to tide me over and stop me turning into a crone. Using these I've put back hair appointments by a week each time so this £3 spend has probally saved me between £45 and £60 :T
I suppose I could spend it on magazines with freebies on the cover!

Yes, I will be testing the Garnacha within the hour! I said testing, not tasting :rotfl:

The Asda do a Extra Special Garnacha for £5, so here's hoping it compares too on JTD :T

    Will let you know ;)

Can I buy say 4 jars of coffee and get 4 petrol mocs?

I have 2 x £5 off wys £35. So I could use one today to earn a £10 jtd which I could use with the other tomorrow and the £4 wys £40

4 jars coffee and 2 squashes is £35, so pay £30. But £23.12 at S, so capped jtd at £10.

Value I place on goods is approx £15 (being generous), so value to me from the shop is £15 plus £10 jtd back (hopefully) plus 5 petrol coupons at an outlay of £30 (plus a £1 or so to make up the 8 items). Will this work or am I being optimistic/double counting anywhere?

Same again tomorrow but then using the jtd?

Seem right. However someone yesterday said it might be worth while waiting until you can use the £5 off wys £40 coupon for the coffee.

yes it is, you lose 34p with the JTD being capped.

Not sure all the sweets would be accepted, as there are some around the mags/sandwich section which aren't allowed as items that they accept.

    Hello all!
I am new to couponing and would like some advice and help as you all seem to speak in code on this forum.

Any advice on how to get coupons and what your lingo stands for would be much appreciated!

    have a nice evening, nath
Hello and welcome Nathzz. You'll cotton on to things pretty quickly and as Rooted Nomad said earlier, everyone does help each other out. First couple of pages give all your abbreviations - i laugh when I read a sentence that involves JTD, SEL, OOS, MsM, AvM (Just the difference, Shelf edge label, out of stock, My supermarket, asda v Morries ):rotfl: Welcome to klingon/glitching language :D

Rose, Tiny shoes and Rhett, just wanted to say I am in the same boat.

My mum is getting quite poorly and frail and I am spending hours at her house. Even when Im at home my time is taken up by calling about the pendent alarm thats been broken for 2 months, or the GP surgery about why her last prescription wasnt medidosed, or the incontinence service to ask when her pads will be delivered, or searching the internet for aids and equipment that the SS dont feel its their responsibility to provide, or trapsing round every chemist I can find in search of 'plain' diralite, as the the 'blackcurrent' flavour the GP issued her with doesnt taste nice...the list is endless, I sometimes feel overwhelmed by it all.

Sorry about the long post, its helped getting it off my chest a bit, as Im sure my OH gets fed up of listening. It was just an eye opener to see that there are other MSErs in a similar position.
Lindos 90, really feel for you as it must be tough but you can't beat yourself up about it. you ARE doing your best and that is more than good enough.
It goes against everything I believe in too! I was hoping not to have to buy clothes for at least another 6 years!!

I had to buy these though as I need long sleeves to cover up from the mosquitos.....and to cover up my gut.:rotfl::rotfl:

A couple of the things I bought were vests so I'll now look like Onslo from 'Keeping up Appearances':beer:
I have a great piccie in my mind of you now HC :rotfl:
