Hi,
Firstly, if I am not allowed to ask this here, the please remove it moderators.
I've had a cold for about 3 months now, with sniffles and sneezing and was wondering if people have tips and tricks to keep on top of feeling healthy, such as eating oranges to get vitimin c etc, drinking herbal tea, a friend of mine said ginger biscuits and chilli in food prevents colds.
I've had this cold for ages and looking for some home made remedies to perk me up again.
Could be due to being busy, stressed out and run down, and I think going to a doctor for what is just a cold seems a bit silly!
Once again if this is too close to asking for medical advice please remove it and I'll remember for the future : )

I think to be honest that if you have been feeling unwell for three months then you really should see your doctor to rule out any underlying cause1 Sealed Pot Challenge # 1480

Seeing as my first thought is that this sounds more like hayfever/allergy than the common cold, which is FAR too close to offering medical advice, I'd suggest you see your GP as well.
If s/he confirms it is hayfever, then site rules would allow us to give advice on limiting pollen/allergen exposure.
Hope you get it sorted out.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
BEADGIRL - I would visit the GP if I'd had anything for that long. DH suffers occasionally with something similar and has been given sprays etc. to clear it as it, in his case is Rhinitis - inflammation of the nasal membranes. It responds really quickly to treatment and I've seen how uncomfortable and miserable he gets. Go soon and feel better Cheers Lyn.0

It would be a bit silly to go for a cold you'd had 3 days, but 3 months? I agree with the others, please see your GP! It might well be just stress but you have to know! I went just yesterday for the "cold" I've had a month: it wasn't just a cold and it needs medicine and keeping an eye on, and I wish I'd gone at least a week ago.0

I'm really sorry but I have to close this thread as it's deemed medical advice
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this: Sorry, giving or asking for medical advice is not permitted on this forum as it’s not what this site is about. While discussing medical insurance policies, cheaper ways to see consultants, cashback for alternative health treatments and how to get specific medication cheaper (legally) are all perfectly acceptable we ask you specifically not to discuss what to do in the event of certain medical problems (please see this rule on the Health Board). If you have any questions about this policy please email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com.

PS hope you feel better soonA little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men
