Do you have a Slaters near you? They (like Marks & Sparks) rip off all of the designers styles nowadays and are cheap and cheerful but don't look like shiney polyester.

I'd echo Ebay - Just sold some of OH suits last month (well made to last) cost approx £400 - £500 per suit new, barely used and sold for £15-£20 including delivery.
  • I buy all suits from Next for £100 inc jacket and trousers. You can pay less in primark but it will look really tacky, i wouldnt pay £100+

Do you know anyone who is about the same size as you who could either lend or give you an old suit? Sometimes people have stuff just lying around in their wardrobe, perhaps you could even make an offer for it (or is it just women who buy stuff and never wear it!!)

You can get a suit from Tesco for £25. Asda do similar priced ones as well.

Be aware if you go too cheap on a suit, it will really look like it. I think the ebay idea is sound, if you can get one in your size, that is. Second-hand quality beats new tat any day

PS +1 for the Austin Reed clearance suits - upto 80% off and they have some nice cuts.

Are you going to have to have to wear a suit to work everyday, or do you need the suit to look respectable for the interview.
If you'll be wearing it everyday spend the money on a better suit, if you need the suit to get the job but wont wear it again a cheap jobbie from Asda/Tesco will prob do.
