Please help need to get out of car finance deal.

We have today been to see a car at arnold clark that we like and rather than taking time to think gone ahead with the finance on it. We paid £100 deposit and signed the finance agreement. Since returning home and talking to others we think that we have pushed ourselves to far per month budget wise. Is there any way we can get out of this? We are really starting to panic and feel so stupid! Please help with any advice.
Thank you.

There is always a cooling off period - not long though!

Sounds to me like you have just paid the deposit and signed the agreement so that finance can be put in place.

If you have signed the full HP agreement it should be 10-15 pages long, where as the initial contract is 1-2 pages only. If the lender is not stated then you are at this stage. If the lender is stated come back to me...

Have you took in your ID or collected the vehicle yet? The opt out details will be in your final agreement, the one that is provided with the lenders name and all of the fine details. I suspect you have completed an order form for the vehicle and a request for credit.

Quite easy to get out of, but you may loose that £100.00, but not a huge price to pay considering you signed the agreement and now know better! I don't know how you deal with Arnold Clark as you then have agreed to buy the car and have nothing to pay with, I guess if you haven't removed it from the showroom then they just canx it off.

OP if you do post on more than one board (which shouldn't really be needed unless you've not had a response - which you have) - please advise readers of this and maybe provide a link so we can see what others have said (and aren't therefore repeating the same thing!)
