Dyeing Satin Shoes

I was just wondering if anyone has any experience of dyeing satin shoes?
I bought some off ebay for £10 but when they have arrived they are more pink than purple and don't go with my dress. The company don't accept returns for refund so I am stuck with them
Have thought about trying to dye them to a more purple colour and was just wondering how easy it might be?
Any advice on what to use would be great!
Thanks
Jen

I regularly dye shoes - leather, suede, satin etc using shoe dye such as Dylon. The instructions are simple & the results are good. http://www.dylon.co.uk/product.php?alias=shoe-dye
I usually buy the dye via Ebay as there aren't any shops that carry the range of colours within easy reach.I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
The company may not think that they accept returns but if if they are trading as a business and the item was a buy it now then they certainly do (distance selling regulations).
If it was an auction then the fact the goods were not as described (ie a different colour) will mean they do in fact accept refunds (albeit they do not know it yet).
If you paid by paypal they side with the buyer come what may so you will get a refund if you want one.
I don't know a thing about dying satin shoes but hope this is helpful anyway :rotfl:0
