2 week jobseeker suspension now in week 8

Hi, when I signed on to JS I told the advisor I had my son mon-wed. She said ok i'll put you down as 10am-2pm mon-wed normal hours rest of the week. A few weeks later another advisor said im altering your hours they are unrealistic. I told him that I had caring responsabilities for my son. He said you'll have to arrange child care. I said but he has autism and doesnt like change. He then printed out the new agreement and asked me to sign, I refused and asked to appeal. I then filled out an appeal form and he said I would hear back within a couple of weeks. When I asked why he wanted to change the hours he said that the agreement was between me and my ex and not thru the courts. I said we didnt go thru the courts as there was nothing to argue about and it would have been a waste of taxpayers money. Anyway I sent a copy of my sons autism, a note from my ex about the agreement and a printout from CAB saying I should be able to work 16 hrs. I have had no money now for 8 weeks and my rent has been stopped. When I ask the JC about it they say its still being looked at give it another couple of weeks. Any ideas anyone?

I think the best thing you can do is go and see someone at the CAB and see if they can look into what's going on and see if they can jog the Decision Makers along a bit. 8 Weeks with no money is taking the mickey!

Mind you, Jobcentres always jump when they get a complaint letter from an MP so if the CAB don't get far, may be worth writing a letter to your MP giving as much detail as possible and asking if they can look into it for you.
In a world where everything is a copy, I remain an original
