Becoming a driving instructor!!!!!

For years I have pondered the thought of training to become a driving instructor, I was ging to take the plunge a few years ago but then I was made redundant. i got a new job fairly quickly, but the pay isn't great, and we just about get by month to month.
The question I want to ask is, is there any scheme available that will allow me to take my training, then pay for it as I earn money for instructing.
Any help appreciated.

A friend of mine qualified last year, but he had to do it while working and didnt get any help with it.
He also says that this 30k a year that they say on the adverts only happens if you are doing in excess of about 60 hours a week, you have to take into account the lease fee for your car, insurance, petrol etc. He reckons for every £25 lesson that he does he gets just under a tenner for it, and if someone cancels at the last minute then thats a full lesson lost. You also have to take into account the time in between lessons... getting from one to the other.0 -
Apologies if this is out of date now, but it's kinda my area of expertise.
Do LOTS of research before even debating it. Try https://www.adiforum.co.uk and https://www.drivertrainingtoday.co.uk.
Both forums will give you loads of advice, and you can post the daftest of questions and someone will help. Have a look at my home page if you want some slightly less reverent info about the job.0 -
