 Why does ASDA in Norwich not bother to refill shelves during the day ?? !!!! Is it cutting staff to save wages ? Bad stock levels or poor management ? Quality of staff/ supervision (or lack of) lately seems to be an issue recently - noticed teenage staff on shop floor seem to spend most of the time chatting or moving like snails ? I know these are thankless jobs but in current climate surely any job better than no job !:(

HA! Those of us who fill the shelves at night often ask the same question and make the same observation! Come shopping after 10pm when the good staff are workingSmokefree since 27-9-20070

You can never get down the aisles in my Asda during the day for staff with trolley loads of stuff and boxes !0

:rotfl:So Norwich to finally get another ASDA on other side of city, hope they can keep fresh food on sale in this one then as current one still not capable, Bakery a joke lately  broken machinery latest regular excuse !0

Logic - to fill an aisle with trolleys, cages and boxes in the day would cause more upset than a couple of empty shelves.
Shop at a different time of the day, either early morning when the night shift are done or later at night, when they're refilling.
Common sense would dictate it's a bit daft to fill aisles with cages during the day.0 -
Obviously not practicle to fill whole store during daytime but fresh area like fruit veg and Bakery shelves will always need filling regulary otherwise will be completely empty half of the day !0

I went to Asda at 10pm yesterday, and the aisles were filled with cages and pallets of food. I couldn't get half of my shopping as groups of cages were blocking shelves, fridges and freezers. I had to go without maybe 30% of my shopping because of this. Aisles were blocked by pallets of food, staff just stood in the way ignoring customers, other members of staff were dragging cages etc. around, one even paying so little attention he almost ploughed into me.
One genius kicked a load of shrink wrap under my feet, causing me to trip up. Luckily I was pushing a trolley so I didn't go !!!!! over tit.
Also, there were pallets of meat in one of the aisles when I started my shopping. 45 minutes later when I finished, they were still sat there, warming up. I put the meat products in my trolley back. When I worked at Sainsbury's we had a 20 minute rule from truck to storage fridge, and from storage fridge to shop floor fridges. After 45 minutes, no-one had even *started* unpacking this. And the middle of the aisle was full of pallets of meat, which would have taken a while to put there.
Overall, not impressed!0
