Electric Paint Spray Gun - ALDI £9.99 or LIDL £19.98?

Both ALDI and LIDL have elecy paint guns on offer next week. The question is which is the best deal?

ALDI's is £9.99 for a 75 watt gun with (presumable fixed) output 260g/min and 1 litre tank. No mention of warranty but includes Viscosity cup,3 x nozzles, Extension tube with fitted valve, Replacement valve, Funnel.

The LIDL offering is more expensive at £19.98 but also more powerful at 150W. It has adjustable output up to 380g/min, has a 3 Year manufacturer’s warranty but only a 700ml tank.

Anyone have any experience of spray guns? Is a variable output really useful? Is more power necessary?

£9.99 seems too cheap but all I want it for is spraying the garden fences.

I know absolutely nothing about electric paint guns, but the other considerations will be weight and ease of use. Personally I'd go for the lighter option, but I'm a bit feeble and I'd rather my DH did it anyway.

If one comes on offer before the other, I'd buy that but not open it until I'd bought the other, then have a good look at both before unpacking the one I fancied most. Check you'll be able to take it back for a refund OK: I usually say I'm going to have to get my DH to check it's what he wants.

Because the other thing to bear in mind is that these things often sell out very quickly, so you may not have a choice at all!

Hi, I want one of these as well and the way I would look at it is that I am only likely to use it to spray my garden fence and shed with it so I would go for the cheapest one.
You will probably use it once a year and if it breaks after the first go claim on the 3 year warranty (the Aldi one has a 3 year warranty see the logo on the picture).
Its fine having all the whistles and bells if they don't cost any extra and you will actually use them, but lets face it you are hardly going to use this to respray your car with so go for the cheap one :-)

Davep - you're absolutely right - if the cheap one will do the job why pay more. I hadn't seen the ALDI warranty, thanks for pointing that out.
