    What she said :D
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
    :) Mortgage Balance = £0 :)

  • I just read through ( most of ) this and feel that you've done a grand job. If only we could all do this ............. sighs ........ but then we'll all just plod on and hope.
    Again - well done.

Thanks! The challenge has changed quite a bit since I started. My missus had to give up her job to take care of our little one and so I had to make up for the short-fall in her income and I also started paying into a pension for her. This has meant that I couldn't pay off the entire mortgage in three years, which even with perfect conditions, would have been really hard to do. I do think that we'll be able to half the mortgage by the end of the challenge which I still think will be a brill achievement. :)

  • Congratulations on tackling that interest free part of the mortgage debt.

Congratulations also on landing another contract for the short term. My contract was cut in December (should have run to March) and I haven't anything in the pipeline at the moment.

Am so glad I don't have the mortgage to worry about now!
:D Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!:D

Good luck with landing your next contract Angela. It must be a real weight off your mind not having to worry about paying for the mortgage!

I can't wait until I'm in a similar position - it'd certainly take the stress out of reaching the end of one contract and trying to find the next!
