Hi Guys;;;Is it possible to sell a 50% benefitial interest in a property to a third party, without the aggreement of the second party?
My daughter and her partner own a property, he claims he has a buyer for his 50% ,but I,ve told her not to get involved, don,t sign anything.Without her signature, he shouldn,t be allowed to sell. Am I correct?

Hi tigerfeet, NO, I bailed my daughter out of her debts about february.instead of letting her go BR.
They have spanish property, but things haven,t progressed any since then.You gave me good advice then.Her partner is still playing silly beggars.

Hi Mouse, joint tennants, I think? and no mortgage on this house.It,s the only one with equity;rented to person HE says he wants to buy his BI.no written rental contract. Mortgages on other properties.affairs are a mess, and relationship beyond repair, daughter just wants rid of him, and property, but he,s a ducker/diver, and is just trying to get money any way.

Hi tigefeet, before I try other thread, as you know I,ve tried to stop daughter going BR by paying her £24k CC debts off, hoping to sort houseS 'out ammicably with her partner.

What,s the likelyhood of the banks forcing her BR, for shortfall on either properties? if she/they decide to go for voluntary/compulsory repo.
Sorry it,s vague, but I cannot get to know what her b=====d of a partner is playing at, apart from being difficult.(good at that)
He doesn,t know I,ve bailed her out,, and removed 2 charges on the family home.here.
Trying to keep away from solicitors, they would have a field day with this, my daughter is not good at being helpful, and is oblivious as to what her partner has done regarding houses.just signed everything he told her to.She just wants to be rid,(wouldn,t we all):rotfl: Thanks for:A help, thought I was going to return with good news for you all.

The chances are slim to none. She will most likely just get a lot of hassle and heartache from them until she agrees to pay it off or a payment plan. But we are talking for the whole lot not just half here unless they can get something out of her OH, which going on history he will disappear leaving her in it.

Also if I remember correctly they have 12 years to chase this before it is statute barred.

thanks tigerfeet, need to be prepared, just didn,t want her BR after all the hard work and cost.Probably should have let her go BR, but what,s done is done.
Cross that bridge when it comes, whatever;trying to prempt him, but he,s so dodgy, it,s unreal.keep you posted if that,s ok when something crops up, as I think you deserve it, been on other threads you linked, and gets worse the more I look in to it.
Need to get her to spain, asap, to see what he,s been up to there.:beer:

I am not saying they won't go for BR but just saying it is very. Very rare and really, really unlikely. So just keep in mind that they may but most likely won't.

Please do keep us updated on how it goes. It is good to see stories through from beginning to end.
