Eyebrow Disaster

I have never been one for plucking or waxing my eyebrows, but my good friend persuaded me to let her wax them ready for a night out this weekend.
The first one she did is ok, but she took some off the top and I always thought you take off the bottom, never the top. Anyhow, I can live with that one.
The other one however, I could cry when I look at it. She's taken far too much off and it's almost all from the top and there's barely anything left.
I'm absolutely mortified. I don't want to show my face at work tomorrow, never mind go out Saturday night!!
Should I try and pluck the other one so it's a 'sparse' and matches or should I just grin and bear it until it grows back??

Perhaps just tidy them up a little and use a very sharp eyebrow pencil to subtly fill the gaps?
Good luck!"I'm ready for my close-up Mr. DeMille...."0 -
Oh no, you poor thing. I'm a full-on eyebrow girl too, I'd be heartbroken.
Would you be able to pluck the other one a little and fill in the sparse one with an eyebrow pencil?Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
Hmm... only have a brown eyeliner! Not sure if that'll work? Daren't pluck anymore at the moment because they are quite sore! Been smoke free for 4 years!! :beer:0

Oh no. I really do feel for you.
Personally I wouldn't try to shape them, especially if you ain't used to plucking your own eyebrows. Your probably better off making an appointment at a local beauty salon a.s.a.p.
You could lightly pencil them in just to blend them until you can get an appointment. Luckily eyebrows don't take too long to grow back.0 -
Yes, just use a pencil or if you have brown eyeshadow or whatever colour your eyebrows are + a fine brush to fill in the gaps. Hopefully no one will notice . Sometimes these things look worse to us than what they do to other people . I once took a bit of a patch out of DH's hair when I was practicing cutting it . For two weeks I brushed grey eyeshadow on the thin patch . He said no one gave it a second look . Good luck !0

You know, i think i would invest in an eyebrow pencil on the way to work (or the nearest 24 hour supermarket). Do BOTH eyebrows with the pencil, not just the sparse bits, however good the match it will not be perfect. Err to the lighter shade not the darker one. (i know this because i have to match up my eyebrows due to loss through thyroid condition, so used to trying to blend what i have left over my inner eye with varying amounts of missing as getting to outer eyebrow!)
Then, get an appt with someone professional to even them up for you then grow them back from an even match.0 -
Don't pluck anymore! Try filling in the sparse one with your brown eyeliner, with tiny little dashes rather than full on drawing, then carefully smudge/soften the colour with a little brush or the tip of your little finger. Then apply some brown eyeshadow over the top, not too much. If you apply the same eyeshadow to the fuller one, it will even out the difference as well. Also, see if you can find a beauty salon on your lunch break tomorrow, they should be able to give advice! x0

Thank all for the advice. Unfortunately there are no supermarkets open on route to work (8am start) and my lunch is only 30 minutes so no time go get to a salon. Think I will just do the best I can with the make up I have and pop to a salon after work.
Shame our dress down day is Fridays or I could have worn a baseball cap to work tomorrow! Been smoke free for 4 years!! :beer:0 -
I've had plenty of eyebrow disasters in my time, I would say can't you use some pensil or eyebrow kit to tidy them up? Also, I know it probably don't feel like it right now, but it is only just hair and they will grow back very quickly.Raven. :grinheart:grinheart:grinheart0

Thank you, and I know! I'm sure I won't feel so bad in the morning. Although... I was tempted to cut in a fringe to hide them!! Been smoke free for 4 years!! :beer:0
