Please don't bother clicking on the links as the govt has removed the pages.

Although the Criteria appears to be applied at the whim of each Special Payment Officer

    http://www.dwp.gov.uk/advisers/csa/en/PDF/guides/csg_vol7/ch1_ad.pdf

    Main section:

    http://www.csa.gov.uk/en/advisers/guides/csg/volume7.asp#S22

If it is rejected, given they state "special payments are made at the Agency's discretion, and "given they are not prescribed in law, they carry no right of appeal", if you can "submit further evidence in support of the claim, they would be happy to look at the case again" blah de blah...there is certainly no harm in pulling the SPO's claims and assumptions apart and then, if one is still dissatified, then seek to complain to the:-

Customer Complaints Manager, CSA, Special Payments Team,2 Weston Road, Crewe, CW98 1BD.

One could even demand that another SPO look at it as well.

    Dear sir or madam
Please send me the information to which I am entitled to under section 7(1) of the Data Protection Act 1998. I request all computer and clerical records to which I am entitled, and would ask that the notepad sections of the computer files are dated.
If you need further information from me, or a fee, please let me know as soon as possible.
If you do not normally handle these requests for your organisation, please pass this letter to your Data Protection Officer or another appropriate official.
    Yours faithfully

Hi Sensemaya and everyone, I have asked Data Protection Unit to provide me the records on 19 February 2008. They replied and said they will take 40 days and will give me the info on 1 April 2008. But today is 26 April and they still have not replied to me.......... What should I do next? Is there any department should I complain against them? Thanks everyone

  • 10 yrs of hell with the CSA, my ex s/e electrician in London. Lied to Inland Revenue and CSA about earnings, due to my digging and many tribunals, going to MP, ICE, etc, receiving advance payment approx. 2 yrs ago of approx. £15k. as Forshaws were going to act for me and Watchdog and other media interested in story! Criminal Compliance Unit found his 5 bank accounts and statement for last 6 yrs, to prove he has lied (he has used dif. names, addresses and given them fake wage slips) with £26k savings and earns approx. £40 k pa. But the CSA and the Tribunal wont do anything about it! As my son is 18 yrs now (daughter 21) they want to close the case, Bailiffs get money from ex to pay the csa back for advance payment and my ex will get away with the lying to me, his children, csa and the inland revenue - NEED A SOLICITOR TO HELP ME URGENTLY PLEASE, ANYONE KNOW ONE WHO CAN HELP? (and now going back to Watchdog also!)

Thank you to Fermi to providing this link.

The HMCS factsheet in this link explains a lot about these orders (assuming that this one will work in the normal way).
