Microwave has got kaput! Need new one quick!

Hi can anyone help me!

My microwave has decided its had enough and just died on me!
Thing is I use it alot to warm up my childrens milk - ive been using a jug of hot water but when you have a baby who, whens shes hungry, she will not wait so it seems to take an age to warm up

I have a max of about 30-35 pound spare for this - ive seen one in the clearence in argos - 50 down to 35 I think it was but just wondering if anyone had seen any cant be missed bargains??

Many thanks :o

Partly Un-helpful advice this I know - but you're not really supposed to warm kids milk in a Microwave.

A bottle warmer in Argos is £19.99 https://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/3760505.htm

Alternatively - I have before just Boiled the kettle, filled up a large mug about a third of the way, and put the bottle in there, and to be honest, its not that much slower.

Neither are as quick as a microwave though, I'll admit... so if you really do want a cheap microwave, try your local Asda. They've had a few in the £30-35 price range recently (I need a new one myself, so I've been looking!)

I was in Comet yesterday, and they had reduced the price of a lot of older models.

(EDIT: Ooh, beaten to my asda advice due to prattling on too long...)

  • Mine stopped working just after ! year, took it to Curry's...

'It needs a new touch pad madam, that'll be about £74'

Me. 'I can buy a new one for about £50'

Ok not such a good spec., but hmm

Took said microwave home unrepaired, took it apart a bit, cleaned circuit board with methylated spirits ( don't say I shouldn't!!!! I did )

Microwave still going strong 4 years later.

    Rip off repairers eh?
