Reselling Olympic dates hotel bookings?

Hi,
I'm going to the Olympics on the first weekend, and had booked a central London hotel (near St Pancras) for the Saturday and Sunday night. Unbeknownst to me, my partner had - as a surprise! - booked a different hotel, one which I love but had thought was unavailable.
So I'd like to get my money back on the first booking, but the hotel has a no refunds/credit note only policy, and the credit note has to be used within 6 months (unlikely for us). I can, however, get the name changed on the booking.
Can I eBay the hotel stay? Are there any problems with doing this? Are there any Olympic-specific sites I could advertise it on? Or is there another solution I'm not seeing? I am not looking to make any profit and can afford a small loss, but can't really write it off as it's nearly £200...
Thanks in advance for any help
