Has anyone here booked a venue without going to see it?

When we first got engaged within the first two months I found a venue not too far from me and we booked a look around it was amazing but the people were not my type of people and it was very over priced.

I left it a while and found somewhere else where we both loved we stayed there as it was a hotel in the lake district. We fell in love with it and nearly booked but they didn't take us seriously. We went again this year when they had a wedding fayre on we spent the whole weekend there and the way we were treated was disgusting and it put me right off it. We've not been back since.

About a month after we stayed at the last place I was looking online I found a fantastic venue which was in our price range and booked a look around we fell in love with it and within a week or so we booked to get married April 2014.

Don't be too hasty to book somewhere straight away you may decide you don't like it at a later date.

Thats a lovely venue, I have been to a craft fair there a few years ago at Christmas time.
