yep i've got it, at the same time it was discovered i also had a frozen shoulder and tightened neck muscles, it is an incredibly painful thing, even worse than childbirth ( and i didnt think anything could ever be worse than that) i passed out several times from hurting my shoulder against doors etc

i cant honestly tell you anything worked ( not for me anyway) but the dr's were more interested in dealing with the frozen shoulder ( as i could barely move it ) at the time, for that i basically kept working it as much as i could taking it to my pain threshold then a wee bit more as much as i could

this was 3 years ago, i now still suffer stiffness and a weakness in my shoulder and do get pain in it often but no where near as bad as it was, it is manageable now

    hope yours eases soon

I needed 2 injections as the first didn't last long. They were quite uncomfortable, but I haven't had any pain since & that was a few years ago.

Yes, last year after a bad fall. The first thing I would say is keep the shoulder moving, the last thing you want is a frozen shoulder. Even if it's just small movements. I was still in pain for a while after my accident, but it turned out I had trapped a nerve in my upper spine at the same time, this was discovered during physio for the calcification.

Yes the cortison injection is sore , but not agony, i would deff try it first, just because it didnt work for me shouldnt mean it wont work for u

Do try and keep the arm as mobile as you can, i think if i hadnt my frozen shoulder wouldve been much much worse , at it's worst i could only lift my arm to just above waist level ,you want to avoid anything like that if possible

Yep i did too ... Was told the same thing lol ... Sleeping can still be a nightmare for me ... I used to sleep on the less painful shoulder at an angle ... But would always have to turn around ... I used to also need loads of pillows to support each shoulder , hubby barely got space for himself lol

It would take me ages each night to get the pillows in the right place as every night the comfortable position changed

When i would try and sleep on my side i would have to have pillows between my arms keeping my bad side supported , i also remember having to wake hubby a few times because i was stuck and couldnt move as i had stiffenend up, he would have to roll me over , he would then say well dont lie on your side , i would say ok , a few hours later i would have to shout him again as the same thing had happened ( i toss and turn alot in my sleep)

I cant lie to you i had a really intensive few months of agony which i never want to go through again , but it does slowly get better till you can get to a stage where it's manageable

    Good luck

When lying on my side i would have the pillows between my arms at at my back holding me in a certain position ... When on my back i had the pillows all around my shoulders , under my shoulders ( sometimes) and under my lowers arms hands etc ... I found having the slightly at an angle helped

When i still go for a massage my shoulder sticks out . I look lopsided all the time ... Bra wearing would just be hell on earth, i used to be covered in bruises and bleeding from wearing bra's

Oh your bringing it all back for me now
