Bankruptcy Phone contract

I am just wondering how much going bankrupt effects your mobile phone contract? Does your network supplier find out? As all my bills are paid on time each month

I kept my mobile (T-mobile) and home phone (BT) contracts post br - I did not list them amongst my br creditors as my accounts were and have continued to be up to date. All the best.

Ditto (different provider, but ditto).

Mobile was not a creditor and OR did not even ask about it - they wanted my mobile number (to call me on) but no question about who provider was, contract/PAYG etc

Check the T&C's for what their policy is in the case of BR - some insist on advisement and closure - this DOES have a benefit, in that you are released from the contract and able to port your number etc to PAYG.

If they 'find out' (usually during a routine scan) they can summarily terminate service, and the opportunity to port your number is lost.

It is worth checking in advance, as it may save problems later.
