Cancelling Equifax

Options
Has anyone had trouble cancelling with them? I signed up for a free trial last month and had it on reminder to cancel it this week, so I rang up and the girl was pretty rude and I had to give all these reasons why I wanted to cancel. I told her it didn't contain as much as free reports like Noodle or a £2 statutory report from Experian.

She tried to get me into some 50% discount thing which I told her a few times I did not want it and she said my subscription had been cancelled and I would get an e-mail in the next 10-20mins confirming, this.

That was 3 hours ago, I had to give them my card details for the free trial as I am sure many people have, I just don't want to end up seeing a bill on my card later this month because she lied.

If that happens then you call up and complain that you requested it be cancelled and it wasn't, nothing to it.
  • Make sure you phone again and tell them that you want to cancel ALL service, including 'Equifax identity watch lite'. I've just checked my bank statement for an account don't use much and found £14.95 worth of charges - they refuse to give me a refund, as they are telling me that I agreed to this service when I called to cancel the credit report free trial. I did not, and I'm not letting it drop! They are scam artists
