Best way to Value a Car ?

I need to put a value on my car, what should I use to get a realistic valuation? I've heard the OR may use Parkers Guide.
I found out how much the guy who owned the car traded it in for and it was half what I paid for it! Would I use that value as it was a dealer trade in? I think I cold sell it for about 2200 but parkers guide says around 1700 for poor condition?

you need to put the sale price not the trade price but if you think the car is in poor condition then by all means put the lower figure.0
