Hello all
I posted this question on the Greenfingered board, but have only had one reply so far so wondered if any of you guys had any tips on building a plastic bottle greenhouse?
Thanks in advance

Could I ask why you have chosen to use plastic bottles rather than glass? The inside of the bottles will get algae build up and reduce light transmission very quickly.
If it is purely from a recycling perspective if you ask nicely as a charity most nurseries will have loads of spare glass which they would be glad to get rid of, I certainly have.0 -
have you seen the DIY plastic bottle solar thermal panels you can make, do a web search , simple idea and work ( well in Spain)0

I gave up collecting 1500 bottles so made cloches instead using the same principle
We threaded 8 bottles onto canes x 6 rows of bottles x 2 sides so only needed 96 bottles
I'm talking about doing this as a family project, not school.
I agree about the algae but I used them early in the year when warmth was the priority and they worked for that

It may not actually help to grow plants though.0
