Wages Not Rising with Inflation?

I've bounced around from job to job for the past couple of years, but now that I've found somewhere to settle for the next few years, I wanted to ask if employers have to raise employee wages to match inflation?

I used to work at a golf store for 3 years and in that time (despite the company's explosive growth) no one ever had their salary kept in line with inflation.

Just wondering if it's actually a legal requirement or if it's just as the employers discression?

No, there's no legal requirement for an inflation-linked pay increase.

The only legal requirement with regards to pay is that you are paid at least the NMW.
